SHORT ANSWER

VORP subtracts positional replacement-level points from a player’s points. Piyasa derives replacement level from required starting lineup slots, not the total player count.

1 / FORMULA

Total points minus the reachable alternative

Example: a goalkeeper scores 112 FP and the expected undrafted goalkeeper level is 66 FP. The VORP is 46. The same 112 FP may produce lower VORP in midfield if strong alternatives are deeper there.

2 / SLOTS

Why lineup slots matter

A ten-team league starting one goalkeeper needs ten starting goalkeepers. Starting three forwards per team creates demand for thirty forwards. Replacement level changes with that demand.

A plain total-points list can therefore mislead a draft board.

3 / USE

Does VORP make the pick for you?

No. It is a baseline. Availability, injury risk, role security, fixtures and draft position still matter. Continue with the draft strategy guide.
